Jean Carlos Acevedo, DC, DACNB, FMHC, MBA
Dr. Jean Carlos Acevedo MartÃnez, BS, DC, DACNB, FMHC, MBA was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, graduated as Doctor of Chiropractic at Life University, located in the city of Marietta, Georgia.
Working in parallel to the requirements of the doctoral degree, he was proactively working on completing various post-doctoral programs and courses in different areas related to health. Topics of study include: functional neurology, functional medicine, developmental problems in children, management of vestibular problems, orthopedic rehabilitation, and general rehabilitation using brain-specific therapy.
As a student, I work alongside Dr. Carrick (founder of Functional Neurology) and his specialized team in over 200 hours of clinical rotations helping patients with traumatic brain injuries and a wide variety of neurological disorders. I also work giving therapeutic assistance in the first edition of the "Immersive Clinical Experience" of Cerebrum Health Centers in Atlanta, Georgia. His leadership highlighted him as the first director of the internship program at Cerebrum and Life University.
After completing over 700 hours of post-graduate education, Dr. Acevedo is currently a Board Certified in Neurological Chiropractic from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB) since 2016. He is also board certified in Functional Hyperbaric Medicine (FMHC) by the International Board. of Undersea Medicine (IBUM) since 2021.
Dr. Acevedo MartÃnez comes to serve Puerto Rico after working as a Physician Therapist at Cerebrum Health Centers, one of the leaders in functional treatments worldwide, where he helped numerous patients with chiropractic treatments, functional neurology and functional medicine. Founding in 2016 the integrated health center Caribe Health Chiropractic Neurology (now VITALIS) with a single purpose... to provide real, natural and effective alternatives for the management of neurological and biomechanical clinical cases. ​
